Your schedule,
where it needs to be
A schedule is only useful if the people and systems that depend on it can see it. Med Staff Tracker shares yours with the platforms your group already runs, so the on-call list is entered once and stays right everywhere.
The systems that need your on-call list
Most groups already run something that depends on knowing who is working. When that information is copied by hand it goes stale, and a stale on-call list is the kind of problem that gets noticed at the worst possible moment.
Communication and paging platforms
The systems that decide who gets called at 2am need to know who is on call. We can publish your on-call roster to them on a schedule they choose, so nobody re-types it and nobody pages last month's coverage.
Hospital on-call directories
Many hospital systems keep their own on-call list that staff look up inside the chart. Those systems typically accept a file on a regular schedule rather than a live connection, and we can produce that file in the format the hospital asks for.
Payroll and HR systems
Worked shifts, differentials and time off already live in Med Staff Tracker. Exports carry them into the payroll system you already run, so the numbers are entered once.
Calendar apps
Clinicians subscribe to their own schedule in Outlook, Google Calendar or Apple Calendar. It updates itself when the schedule changes, so nobody is working from a printout.
Built to feed any system that accepts these
- ICSCalendar subscription
- CSVSpreadsheet export
- XLSXExcel workbook
- PDFPrint ready schedule
Or your system's own layout, delivered where and when it expects it.
Four ways data moves
Different systems accept data in different ways, and the receiving side usually decides which one. The first two you can switch on yourself. The other two we set up with you and the platform you are connecting to, because the receiving system defines the details.
Calendar subscription
A private link each clinician adds once to their calendar app, or one address a whole department subscribes to. Shifts appear alongside their meetings and stay current on their own, with no app to install. Turn it on yourself from the schedule settings.
Exports and imports
Download the schedule, the shift market, payroll figures or your clinician roster as a spreadsheet or PDF, straight from inside the app. Bring an existing schedule in from a spreadsheet when you switch.
Scheduled file delivery
Most hospital on-call directories and payroll systems want a file in their own layout, dropped somewhere specific, on their own timetable. Tell us the layout and the destination and we set it up with you. There is no standard format here, so this is always configured per system rather than picked off a shelf.
Partner API
A direct connection another platform reads on whatever interval it uses. We issue the credentials, you choose what they cover, and we work through the details with that vendor's team. Best started by putting us in touch with them.
If a platform you use is not listed anywhere on this page, that is not a no. Ask us, or ask them to ask us. Get in touch and we will tell you honestly what it would take.
You decide who sees what
Sharing a schedule with another system should never mean losing track of where it went. Every connection is something you create, scope and can switch off.
Nothing is shared by default
No outside system can read anything until you create an access key for it. There is no public data and no open door.
You choose the scope
A key is limited to the groups and locations you select. A paging vendor covering one hospital sees that hospital, not your whole organization.
You choose the fields
Contact details and photos are off unless you turn them on, per connection. A payroll export does not need mobile numbers, so it does not get them.
Turn it off whenever you like
Keys can be rotated or revoked at any time, and every connection keeps a record of what it read and when.
No patient information, anywhere
Med Staff Tracker is a staffing system. It knows who is working, where and when. It holds no patient records, so nothing we share with another platform contains any. That is worth saying plainly, because it is the first question a hospital technology team asks.
Integration questions
Does my group need an integration to use Med Staff Tracker?
Can you connect to the paging or answering service we already use?
Will you publish our schedule somewhere public?
What does a vendor need from us to get started?
Do you work with electronic health record systems?
Is patient information involved in any of this?
Can we get our own data out without an integration?
We work across more than one time zone. Does that cause problems?
Tell us what you need to connect to
Bring us the platform your group already runs and we will tell you honestly what it takes, including when the answer is that it is not worth it yet.
